Candy Land College Assistant
Terms of service
Effective September 30, 2026.
Candy Land is an independent student project in beta. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any college, university, or learning platform (including Google, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle or Schoology). By creating an account or using Candy Land you agree to these terms. What we store and how to delete it is on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.
What Candy Land does
Candy Land drafts assignments from your prompt and files, reads syllabi you add, and gathers your due dates from syllabi, school calendar feeds and Google Classroom into one list. It is a beta: features change, limits apply, and it may be paused or ended at any time.
Your account
- Use your own email or Google account, and keep your PIN or Google sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't create accounts for other people or impersonate anyone.
- If you sign in with Google using an email that already has a Candy Land account, the accounts are joined, because Google has verified that you own that email.
Your work and your school's rules
- You are responsible for what you submit to a class, and for following your school's and each course's rules, including any rules about AI tools. Check them before you use a draft.
- Drafts, due dates and course facts can be wrong or incomplete. Check them against your syllabus, your course site and your instructor. A missed or wrong date shown in Candy Land does not change what your instructor set.
Your content
- You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You give Candy Land permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as the privacy page describes.
- Only add material you have the right to use. Syllabi you add are private to your account unless you choose to contribute them; if you do, reviewed facts from them may appear in public class and faculty pages, never your identity or the original file.
Acceptable use
Don't use Candy Land to break the law or anyone's rights; to upload malware or content that isn't yours to share; to attack, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the service; or to access other people's accounts or data.
Other services
Candy Land relies on other companies, whose own terms also apply to them: Anthropic writes drafts, Winston AI runs originality checks, Cloudflare hosts the service, and Google provides sign-in and, if you connect it, read-only Classroom access. Calendar feeds are read from the links you provide. Candy Land's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Use at your own risk
You use Candy Land entirely at your own risk. You alone decide whether and how to use anything it produces, including drafts, due dates, course facts and research, and you accept all consequences of that use, including academic ones.
No warranty
Candy Land is provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing it produces is guaranteed to be correct, original, complete, acceptable to your school, or to earn any grade.
No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Candy Land's owner, and anyone who helps build or run it, has no liability whatsoever to you or to anyone else for any claim, loss or damage of any kind arising from or related to Candy Land or your use of it, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive, and whatever the legal theory (contract, tort including negligence, statute or otherwise), even if told such loss was possible. This includes, without limit: grades, academic integrity findings, discipline, suspension or expulsion; missed or wrong deadlines; lost, exposed or corrupted data; and anything done by the other services listed above. Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded entirely, it is limited to the smallest amount the law permits, and in no case more than zero dollars where zero is permitted.
You cover your own use
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Candy Land's owner, and anyone who helps build or run it, from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by anyone, including your school, arising from your use of Candy Land, what you submit or do with what it produces, your content, or your breaking these terms or any law or school rule.
Ending
You can stop at any time and remove your account and data with My account → Delete my data. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.
If part of these terms can't be enforced
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, it is limited only as much as necessary and the rest stays in full effect. The disclaimers, limits on liability and your promise to cover your own use survive the end of your account.
Changes
We may update these terms as Candy Land changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; using Candy Land after a change means you accept the updated terms.
